Arctic Circle Trail

Spurred on by earlier adventures in northern Norway, next summer (2017) Shash and I plan on discovering the landscape of Greenland’s midnight sun, revealed momentarily every summer as the ice covering melts for a brief period and trekking across the permafrost becomes possible. This 200 kilometre backpacking adventure will take us from the very edge of the polar ice cap to the frozen fringes of Baffin Bay.

Here on the web, we’ll log our research and our preparation. Report on our adventure and the landscape and people we discover. Finally to offer the information and opportunity you need to take your own Arctic adventure.
